Walton, once called Petite Riviere, was established in 1785. Today in addition to our great food, we are best known for our local Walton Lighthouse. Timothy Parker built it in 1873 for a total cost of $620.00. It is the ONLY remaining lighthouse in Hants County.

From the lighthouse tower you can see the Minas Basin, Cape Blomidon, the Parrsboro Shore and Five Islands. Through the telescope, see the rise and fall of tides up to 48 feet and at low waters up to 1.5 miles of mud flats.

Our restaurant is a favorite place to stop and grab a bite to eat as you travel down the shore. We are conveniently located on the tour route for Snowmobile, Motorcycle, ATV, and Antique Automobile groups.
